The LadyBug's Christmas List

I have tried several times on several devices to get this page to show up and I can't make it happen.  I am putting it in a post.     Clothes: She is currently wearing a 7-8 in a shirt and a 7-8 in bottoms. If an outfit comes in a set then I usually just get the 8.  If it is a dress, 7. Old Navy L in tops/dresses and a 7 in pants. She WILL WEAR JEANS success!!! Shoes size 13, she has snow boots, tennis shoes, she wants a pair of knee high boots.   Some Ideas If you click on the link it will take you to a place to be able to purchase the item.
The girls have a TON of things.  A suggestion might be to get them an "experience" in the form of a gift certificate to the museum or the zoo.
The Denver Museum of Nature and Science has classes that The Bug is interested in attending and would add to her learning. We are already members of the museum and frequent the discovery zone (great area for both of the girls), space, human body, and of course the rotating exhibits.

The Denver Zoo also has classes and The Bug has moved up to the next group of classes so she will be attending some this year.  We all know she has a love of animals.

Chinese Checkers  Legos, she is into Legos, can't get enough of them.  Just a box of the basic legos will make her happy.  The Bug is very much into creating her own masterpieces. A Lego Idea book could be a good idea.    BOOKS - we have a love hate relationship with books.  The Bug loves them and I hate that she doesn't take care of her responsibilites because she is too busy reading.  However, I have a really hard time telling her no when it comes to books.  We are usually at the library a couple of times a month, but sometimes it is just fun to have your own to read and reread. Currently she is working her way through the Harry Potter Series (she is on book 3).  She owns and has read the Magic Treehouse series.  The Wayside series could be a fun set. As tempting as it might be we already have ALL of the Ladybug Girl books (and a few duplicates).
I F YOU PURCHASE SOMETHING OFF THIS LIST PLEASE LET ME KNOW AND I WILL TAKE IT OFF THE LIST, EVERYONE WOULD APPRECIATE IT!!

Lions

Apparently I am raising a pride of lions.  I was trying to get stuff together to walk out the door today and this is what I turned around to...The two girls pretending to eat meat off the floor while making growling noises. I LIVE IN A ZOO

Snow Day!

Today was our First Snow Day (techincally it was the second snow, but The Bean was sick the first go around).  The girls couldn't wait to get out in it.  Some didn't even put on more than boots before heading out!

Hanging Out with a Friend

Today we got to spend the day with one of our neighborhood friends!  Her mom was having surgery so she came and spent the day with us. Little Miss E kept us busy and we kept her busy.  She had so much fun that she told her mom that she wanted to come to our house every day!!

A Day at the Pumpkin Patch

It was a nice cool day, muddy but tons of fun.  Yes, the Bean found every mud puddle and ate every rock and piece of dirt she could get her hands on.  Oh and wiped her muddy hands all over her sister.  They love each other so much!! Thanks for another wonderful year Anderson Farms!!

Wacky Wednesday

Note to self...When the Bean decides she is giving up her morning nap be sure to be at home by 1:00pm so you can put her down for an afternoon nap, if not you are screwed.   Well, lesson learned, instead of being at home we were at the roller rink.  I'm so glad we were because The Ladybug won the limbo contest!!!                                 More playing outside and the day was complete!

Backyard Fun

This weekend we put up a shade sail in the backyard (something that we can easily take down in the winter). It has been a hit! The girls (dogs too) have been enjoying the extra shade in the grass and it gives us a little more time to spend outside. We all know how much the girls love to be outside!!!

Add in a little cloud dough and fun was had by all after lunch today.

Change of Plans

The library and errands turned into a little school, library, zoo, no nap, and fun in the backyard. Ehhh best laid plans, right? That's what summer is for!!

The Ladybug Turns Seven!

Not really sure how this happened. Pretty sure it was just yesterday that we were running around with our heads cut off trying to buy stuff to bring home our precious little girl.  And now she is 7?!   Today she wrapped up a week at Lego Camp with her buddy Carter. They put on a "play" with their Lego creations that they worked on all week. She wanted to go as Princess Leia, so we decked her out and sent her on her way.
She was so excited!!! When I walked her in she was pretty much swarmed by the other kids and everyone was excited. The Ladybug was the only one dressed up, but she didn't care.   We had dinner and said our "see ya laters" to our wonderful babysitter that has been with us the last three years.  Our family has been lucky to have Nikky in our lives and she will be missed.  Nikky just fit, and we are an odd group to just fit with. We wish her luck and can't wait to visit when we head back out to California for visits.   Texas Roadhouse was the destination of choice for the Ladybug's birthday dinner. Fun was had by all and she was spoiled rotten by the waiter.  Happy Birthday Ladybug!!!

Momma Wears Me OUT!!!

When the Ladybug is away we don't just sit around and do nothing!!!

We slide and point at bubbles

We run through the bubbles

And swat at them

We taste colored water...yes she tried all four of them, blue seemed to be the favorite.

And we fall asleep while eating lunch at 12:06...yes, she did transfer and slept for three hours. This being a toddler is hard stuff!!!
