Halloween with the Black and White Cats

The Ladybug came up with the idea to be a black cat months ago.  Then when we saw the cute white cat costume for the Jellybean we knew it was a perfect fit for all.

We had a party for some of the kids in the neighborhood and then we all headed out to trick or treat together as a group.  A great time was had by all, few pictures taken, but a fabulous fun time!!

The Jellybean Makes Her First Trip to CA with The Ladybug

We went out to California for our annual birthday trip.  Only this year we have birthdays and adoption days to celebrate!!  It was such a busy week...Daddy's birthday and adoption day all rolled into one, traveling, Legoland, a day with Oma and Opa, birthday parties, more time with Oma and Opa, and traveling home.

It was a busy week but an awesome one.  A few bumps in the road or head and a bee sting for the cousins, but tons of fun was had by all!!  We only wish the time had been a bit longer and that we had been able to see all of our friends as well.

The Jellybean's Adoption Day

This is a day we have all been waiting so long for.  Although she was ours the moment we held her up for the first time, she is officially and legally.

For 4  years we have been through so many ups and downs, false alarms, changed minds, buracratic bs, closed agencies, inspections, homestudies, fraud, you name it and we have experienced it.  But that all came to an end today.  Our family is complete (although the Ladybug still informs us at least once a week that she has baby brothers coming).

The Jellybean is perfect in every way, huge but perfect.  Chris laughs and tells everyone that she is exactly what would happen if we were to conceive our own child.

Today was a double dose of excitement as it is also Chris' Birthday, this is a present that will be hard to top next year, but it will make celebrating each year just that much more special.  Definitely nothing disappointing about the day.

Where Did My Baby Go?

We are at the 5 month mark now. The Jellybean is laughing, grabbing things with purpose, loving her exersaucer, rolling over, trying to sit-up (go-go abs of steel!), eating dinner, ticklish, and killing people with those baby blues.

But where oh where did my little baby go??

Ladybugs and Sunflowers

Ok, so the sunflowers were past their prime but it was an AWESOME day at the Sunflower Farm.  I'm pretty sure that this has become the Ladybug's new favorite place to go. She wants to go again this week!

Pony rides, tepees, goats, sheep, cows, 9 week old baby pig, giant porch swings, old tractors and dozers, Tom the turkey (he is 7 yrs old and was raised by hand, he likes to have his head scratched), chickens, peacocks, tire swings, tree houses, sandboxes, more sandboxes, bonfire to roast marshmallows, zipline, rope swing, an old airplane to crawl around in, giant hay bales to climb on and get lost in. There was so much to do, we didn't do it all, not even half of it.

I couldn't get her to stop and eat lunch, she ate in the car on the way home, and plotted her next trip back in between bites.

This is a beautiful place.

Chihuly Afterdark with the Bug, the Bean, and the Gyant

Tonight we bundled up and headed down to the Botanic Gardens to see the Chihuly exhibit at night. The sunsets and they turn on the lights. As beautiful as they are in the daylight they are a whole new spectatular at night.

My pictures are horrible, but you try to take a long exposure picture with a baby strapped to your belly, a wolf running around (that was the animal of choice tonight), and no tripod. It wouldn't matter if they were fabulous though because you JUST HAD TO BE THERE.

Anderson Farms with the Ladybug and the Jellybean

We went to Anderson Farms for the day and had a blast.  I am so glad that the Ladybug and I found this place a couple of years ago (can't believe it has been that long either!).

It was VERY IMPORTANT to the Ladybug that the girls have matching outfits (I'm pretty sure she has dreams of matching outfits).  Although they aren't exactly the same the fact that they were the same colors worked for the little fashionista.

The pictures didn't turn out fabulous, but we all had a great time!
