The Ladybug, The Jellybean, and The Beautiful Fall Colors

Today we took a drive up to our favorite national park...Rocky Mountain National Park. Let's just say I am pretty sure that half the state had the same idea.  It is never a good sign when the park ranger says, "Good Luck in there!" as you flash your pass and drive through the gates.

We had a blast though! A picnic lunch in a field at the end of an aspen grove, who could have asked for a better setting? The girls clowned around and we took a ton of pictures, thank goodness for digital! I can't imagine the amount of film and the tons of nonsense pics we would end up with. Oh wait, I DO remember that day vaguely, and I have the most adorable picture of three little kids painted from head to toe in watercolors to show for that.  It might have been a surprise for Mom to find that picture, but it sure was fun!

From flying babies, to fake smiles from the Ladybug I'm pretty sure we have it all.  And yes we saw the Elk, and no we weren't the DUMB tourists trying to get too close or leaving our vehicle in the middle of the road to get out and look.

Happy Girl!

The girls and I are in Vail for a few days. First morning and the Ladybug was up at 5:00am.

Good thing she has a cute little sister to save her from an eminant death!!! The JellyBean woke up in a great mood :)

We Have A Bike Rider!

Three days and a little determination and the Ladybug is down to two wheels!

I will admit that on the third day after two hours of practice (and the total ability to ride by herself but just a little too much fear) I told her that I wouldn't buy her new skis til she took off and rode the bike.

The little stinker picked up her feet and took off!!!! Who says a little motivation doesn't do a world of good?

Introducing the Jellybean to Texas

I lost my mind. That is all I have to say for myself.

Yes, I will pack up two kids under 6 and travel to Texas for two weeks at the end of August/beginning of September.

While there were times I wanted to poke my eyes out, I wouldn't have traded the experience for anything in the world.  The Ladybug was an awesome traveler/helper/big sister and the Jellybean hung on for the ride.
Because you must start your morning with school work, even if it is in the airport!

Happy to go see Texas!

Even Ankle Frank got in on the fun!
