Spring Break Bug Style

Ankle Frank is the greatest, two years in a row now he has given up part of his Spring Break to come and spend time with us.  He is awesome!!

This year we were able to go skiing/snowboarding.  Well, Safi and I skied and Ankle Frank snowboarded.  We went up to Copper Mountain to show our stuff, Safi and I had been up the week before to check things out and get the lay of the land.

The Friday was our first day up and Safi practiced her "snow plow" skills most of the day and frustrated us all.  She was going SOOOOO SLOOOOOW!!  Ankle Frank ended up leaving us for part of the day and boarding by himself.  I personally think that Safi's abilities sucked because she was so tired.  She ended up sleeping most of the way home that afternoon.

After a weekend at home resting up, sledding, and having fun hanging out we headed back up on Monday morning.

Safi and I did two runs mostly by ourselves and then met Ankle Frank for lunch.  Safi was like a totally new person.  She showed us her "French Fry" skis and big turns like she had been doing it all her life!! After lunch she was keeping up with Ankle Frank and when I would stop to wait for her she was breeze by giggling saying "Come on Mom!"

We did a total of 6 runs on Monday skiing from the top to the bottom.  Safi started out taking about 30 min to do a run to about 15 min.  She did AWESOME!!!

And then there was Ankle Frank...this was the third time that he had been snowboarding.  Ankle Frank looks like a natural, guess all that time on the wakeboard has helped out on the slopes as well!!!

We all had so much fun and can't wait to do it again soon!!!

Copper Mountain and the Bugs

Today we went skiing at Copper Mountain with Ankle Frank. It was a beautiful day ahead of a storm that should bring some much needed snow to the state.

Ankle Frank really nailed it on the snowboard (it was only his 3rd time), and despite being tired the SkiBug did awesome.

Can't wait to go back up!!
