The Ladybug and Cousins at Thanksgiving

This has been a wonderful week, although it went by way too fast!  Tuesday Kurt, Jeri, Mady, and Marky came in from California for Thanksgiving.  It has been almost two years since they have been to visit and so much has changed since.  A couple of new additions to the family, and this time the grass was still a bit green.

The girls had fun playing together and Marky was not thrilled that he couldn't be apart of it.  The roller coaster with a hit with both girls and just being outside in the beautiful weather was fun.

The girls and Dads had fun at the Creative Playscape in Georgetown.  Of course the swings were a hit with Safi.

We had take-out from Chuy's (twice, because one can not have enough creamy jalapeno), visited the Creative Playscape in Georgetown, Chili's, Thanksgiving dinner/lunch, and more playing outside.  Oh and the adults had some friendly competition while playing Wii :)

The Ladybug Gets a Haircut

Five and a half months later Safi's hair is long enough to get a trim!  We went to Cool Cuts and Safi was an angel, she just sat there and let he lady cut her hair.  Then of course she had to go play with the Legos while I finished paying.

Another day in the life.........

Roller Coaster Ladybug Style

So we got Safi an "Up and Down Coaster" for Christmas.  It came this weekend, and it made its way out of the box this weekend as well :)  How can one say no to an outside toy when the weather around Christmas is so unpredictable?  Yes, we know, we are bad........oh well!!!

After nap Safi and I headed to the backyard to see the surprise. I believe I heard......"Thank you, Thank you, Thank you" even before she got on it.  Let me back up, we were at a birthday party a couple of weeks ago and the family had one at their house, so Safi has seen this before.

Needless to say, Safi played on the Roller Coaster til it got dark!!!

The Gyant and the Ladybug at the Garden

After a long week we were all ready for a low key day.  We started off going to the zoo, after passing Zilker park and me asking for the zillionth time if we really wanted to go all the way to the zoo, I turned the car around and we headed for the botanical gardens.

Safi and I have been here before and we had a great time.  She loves to be outdoors and Safi had a blast following the water and looking at the beautiful Koi fish. So, the two of us set out to show Daddy the cool things that we found here the first time.

The Ladybug Does Halloween

Yesterday started out a little rough, but it was nothing that a nap couldn't take care of :)

After nap I got out the Halloween tattoos and although Safi was a little hesitant she quickly got into it and had tattoos up and down both arms!!  As Daddy says "Safi you really fit in here in Austin now!"  I of course ended up with a couple on my hands as well.

Once Daddy got home from work she was ready to go....."Ready, Ready?" Safi had her shoes and she was ready to go "Come On, Come On!"  This all started at 4:00 and we weren't planning on leaving til 6:00.

We loaded up and headed over to the Anderson's house, we were going with Trick or Treating with friends!  Once we got to the house Safi spotted Damon's slide and swing set, she was set and I really think Safi would have been happy if we had stayed there the whole night!  Guess it is time to start looking into playscapes.

All the parents gathered up the kids for a picture before heading out, it was more like herding cats but it was worth a try.  With all the flashes it looked like a celebrity was in the neighborhood!!  After the pictures it was time to find the loot.  It took Safi a couple of houses but she quickly got the hang of it.  She was the cutest Ladybug on the block!!

After we made it around the block, Safi was done, she was delirous and barely standing so we headed home. Halloween was a success!!
